These projects will be taken on a build, own, operate & transfer basis and will have a maintenance period of 30 years. The company plans to invest Rs.35 Cr. in year 2008-2009. Company has taken up waste management projects including soil waste, composing & e-waste. SMPL has tied up with Cyprus based Hydrocomp Ltd. to form a 50:50 joint venture company called Hydrocomp India Ltd. for acquiring technical know how necessary for efficient execution of waste management projects. SPML also plans bidding for modernization of tier-2 airports like Amritsar and Udaipur. Company has keen eye on taking task of up gradation of Railway stations as well.
