ARCHITECTRIAL SPECIFICATION
A.) WET AREAS: KERAKOLL SYSTEM FOR WATERPROOFING OF WET AREAS INCLUDING BALCONIES, TERRACES, BASEMENT, SWIMMING POOL, TANKS, KITCHEN, BATHROOMS, SHOWER CABINETS, SAUNAS FOR CONTAINMENT OF DRINKING WATER
WATERPROOFING : KERAKOLL IDROBUILD®
Concrete protection: on constructions that must be protected from weathering and from the action of antifreeze salts, waterproofing must be carried out with a ecological, two-component, elastic waterproofing system such as IDROBUILD® manufactured by Kerakoll, applied in two coats for an overall coverage of 3 to 4 kg /m2. This waterproofing is fully suitable for the containment of drinking water
Swimming Pools, Balconies, Tanks, Bathrooms & Basements etc.: the waterproofing of swimming pools, tanks and basements should be carried out with a technological, two-component, elastic waterproofing system such as IDROBUILD® manufactured by Kerakoll. The horizontal and vertical angles should be linked up with a shell using a structural mortar such as KERABUILD® FINITURA manufactured by Kerakoll. Then the waterproofing product should be applied in two coats for an overall coverage of 3 to 4 kg. / M2 with an interposed reinforcing mesh made of anti-alkaline glass fiber such as Kerakoll IDROBUILD REINFORZO OR PVC STRIP IDROBUILD® GIUNTOFLEX 120 / 160 for elastic joints.
Terraces: the waterproofing of terraces should be carried out with a technological, two-component, elastic waterproofing system such as IDROBUILD® manufactured by Kerakoll. The expansion joints, fractionizing joints and angular couplings should be waterproofed with a PVC strip such as IDROBUILD® GIUNTOFLEX 160 manufactured by Kerakoll, stuck to the support with an epoxide system such as KERABUILD® EPOADESIVO manufactured by Kerakoll and welded onto the overlaps. Then the waterproofing product should be applied in two coats with an interposed reinforcing mesh made of anti alkaline glass fiber such as IDROBUILD REINFORZO for coverage of 4.5 kg/m2.

B.) CONCRETE STRUCTURE: KERAKOLL SYSTEM FOR WATERPROOFING OF MONOLITHIC CONCRETE STRUCTURE INCLUDING FOUNDATION, DAMS, TUNNELS, BRIDGES, DRAINS, TANKS, CAR PARK & RESERVOIRS ETC.
WATERPROOFING MATERIAL : KERAKOLL IDROBUILD® OSMOCEM
Waterproofing, in the presence of water under positive or negative thrust, of structures in monolithic concrete and reinforced concrete substrate should be carried out with a waterproofing agent with osmotic action such as Idrobuild® Osmocem manufactured by Kerakoll. This waterproofing is fully suitable for the containment of drinking water. Apply the product with a minimum 2 mm and maximum 6 mm thickness according to bar pressure and coverage of average 1.5 kg/m2 per millimeter of thickness.

PROTECTION FOR ANGLES : KERAKOLL IDROBUILD SYSTEM
The waterproofing of foundation, basements & car park area wherever the horizontal and vertical angles should be linked up with a shell using a structural mortar such as KERABUILD® FINITURA manufactured by Kerakoll. These angles should be waterproof with a technological, two-component, elastic waterproofing system such as IDROBUILD® manufactured by Kerakoll for coverage of 4.5 Kg. / m2.
The waterproofing product should be applied in two coats with an interposed reinforcing mesh made of anti-alkaline glass fiber such as Kerakoll IDROBUILD REINFORZO OR PVC STRIP IDROBUILD® GIUNTOFLEX 160 for elastic joints.
PROTECTION FOR OTHER JOINT :
The expansion joints, fractionizing joints and angular couplings should be waterproofed with a PVC strip such as IDROBUILD® GIUNTOFLEX 160 manufactured by Kerakoll, stuck to the support with an epoxide system such as KERABUILD® EPOADESIVO manufactured by Kerakoll and welded onto the overlaps.

ARCHITECTRIAL SPECIFICATION
A.) KERAKOLL SYSTEM FOR INSTALLATION OF ALL KIND OF CERAMIC, GLAZED & FULLY VITRIFIED TILES IN INTERIOR & EXTERIOR AREAS ON FLOOR & ON WALL OVER CONCRETE, SCREED OR ON PLASTER
BINDER FOR FLOOR SCREED : KERAKOLL KERACEM®
High-resistance screeds or heat-radiant slabs must be produced with a professional, superior-technology hydraulic binder with compensated shrinkage, normal setting and rapid drying, such as KERACEM® manufactured by Kerakoll, for an average thickness of 2 TO 4 cm. or more. The laid screed is suitable for laying ceramic tiles after 24 hours and parquet after 5 days. Dosage of keracem: Inert material (0-8 mm. size dry river - sand) can be vary from 1 part of Keracem to 3 to 5 part of inter material by volume and water ratio of 40 to 50% by weight of Keracem binder. Mixing ratio fully depends upon required strength and kind of load floor needed. The supply and installation of deformable bands in polyethylene foam for desolidarisation joints, fractionizing of surfaces in large areas and finishing with trowel or steel disk are included. Average coverage of Keracem ≈ 2 to 2.5 kg/m2 / cm. of thickness.
PLASTER ON EXTERNAL & INTERNAL WALL : KERAKOLL P5 ADMIX
Anchoring slurry: before applying mortar patch layers to concrete, roughen the surface with mechanical equipment, wash thoroughly with a steam pressure washer and apply a slurry key composed of cement, water and synthetic resin resistant to alkaline specification such as P5 manufactured by Kerakoll, at a ratio of 40% of the weight of the cement. Add the patch layer to the freshly applied slurry.
Additives for cement-based mortars: synthetic resins resistant to alkaline specification such as P5 manufactured by Kerakoll can be used as additives in cement-based mortars at a ratio of 30% of the weight of the cement to make the mortar compact, adhesive and flexible.
ADHESIVE FOR FIXING CERAMIC & GLAZED TILES : KERAKOLL SUPER ADHESIVE
High-resistance application of ceramic tiles must be carried out with a professional, superior-technology quartz adhesive, compliant with EN 12004 – class C1, such as SUPER manufactured by Kerakoll. The substrate must be compact, free from any flaky, loose parts and must be clean and cured, having already completed the shrinkage stage. For application a 6 to 12mm. notched trowel or tooth spreader must be used for an average coverage of 3.5 to 5 kg/m2. Existing joints must be respected and elastic fractionizing joints must be created for every15 to 25 m2 of continuous surface. Ceramic tiles must be laid with joint-gap spacers with a width of 2 to 12 mm.
ABSTRACT
ADHESIVE FOR FIXING FULLY VITRIFIED TILES & STONE : KERAKOLL H40® FLEX
High-resistance application of ceramic tiles, homogeneous tiles, marble and natural stone must be carried out with the SAS (Shock Absorbing System) Technology professional adhesive with high resistance and high deformability compliant with EN 12004 – class C2 E, such as H40® FLEX manufactured by Kerakoll. The substrate must be compact, free from any flaky, loose parts and must be clean and cured, having already completed the shrinkage stage. For application, a 6 TO 12 mm notched trowel or tooth spreader must be used for coverage of 3.5 to 5 kg/m2. Existing joints must be respected and elastic fractionizing joints must be created for every 15 to 25 m2 of continuous surface. Ceramic tiles must be laid with joint-gap spacers with a width of 2 to 12 mm.
GROUT (OPTION 1) FOR TILE OR STONE JOINT : KERAKOLL FUGABELLA® EPOXY
Chemical and mechanical high-resistance grouting of ceramic tiles, homogeneous tiles, marble and natural stone must be performed with a professional, superior-technology waterproof grout with high level of hardness, compliant with EN 13888 - class RG, such as FUGABELLA® EPOXY manufactured by Kerakoll. Joints must be dry and free from traces of adhesive and flaky parts. Use a spreader or hard rubber float to apply the grout and suitable sponges and clean water to clean joints on completion. Joints of 2-12 mm. width and tiles of approved size will depend upon the correct size of joint and size of tiles. Existing elastic expansion and fractionizing joints must be respected.
GROUT (OPTION 2) FOR TILE & STONE JOINT : KERAKOLL FUGABLLA® 2-12
High-resistance grouting of ceramic tiles, homogeneous tiles, marble and natural stone must be performed with a professional, superior-technology grout with smooth, calibrated finish, high level of hardness and reduced water absorbency, compliant with EN 13888 – class CG2, such as FUGABELLA® 2-12 manufactured by Kerakoll. Joints must be dry and free from traces of adhesives and flaky parts. Use a spreader or hard rubber float to apply the joint grout and suitable sponges and clean water to clean joints on completion. Joints of 2 TO 12 mm width and tiles as per the approved size. Existing elastic expansion and fractionizing joints must be respected.
SEALANT FOR EXPANSION & CONNECTION JOINT - SIGIBUILD®
Elastic, waterproof sealing of expansion joints should be performed with an acetoxy silicone sealant such as SIGIBUILD® manufactured by Kerakoll. The joint must be clean, dry, free from any rising moisture and prepared with a suitable technical polyethylene foam sub-joint layer such as SIGIBUILD® JOINT manufactured by Kerakoll, to be inserted at a depth of between 2⁄3 and the entire width of the joint. One cartridge will cover 2.7 linear meters for joints with a width and depth of 1cm.
